Singapore Airlines, which purports to be the world's most awarded airline, operates from a hub at Singapore Changi Airport - SIN. It is one of the largest airlines in Asia, focusing on southeast Asia, as well as flying to Europe, Australia, Africa, the Middle East, and the United States. Singapore Airlines' Singapore-Newark, NJ flight is the longest nonstop flight in the world at 10,315 miles and 18 hours 40 minutes.

Singapore Airlines is the launch customer of the Airbus A380, meaning it is the first airline to take delivery of and operate the A380.

Frequent Flyer Program

KrisFlyer is Singapore's frequent flyer program. KrisFlyer has a two-tier elite program (silver and gold), which is in line with Star Alliance's shared two-tier elite setup. Round-trip rewards flights from Singapore to Europe or the west coast of the US begin at 70,000 miles.

Carry-on and Baggage Rules

On flights to and from the US, two checked bags weighing no more than 50 pounds each are allowed. Each bag must not exceed 62 linear inches and additionally the two bags combined must not exceed 106 linear inches. Economy passengers to all other destinations are allowed 44 pounds of luggage, regardless of weight. Business and first class passengers are allowed additional baggage and weight.

One carry-on item is permitted in economy, not to exceed 15 pounds or 45 linear inches. In business and first class, two pieces of carry-on luggage are allowed, provided they each meet this restriction.
